You just detached the IAS Index from your browser window!
IASlinks.org is continuously striving to meet the needs of a scientific community focused on the Gulf of Mexico and Caribbean Sea region. The functionality of our site is a primary concern. If our users have difficulty navigating the web pages housed at IASlinks.org, we are not delivering the service you deserve.

With that in mind, IASlinks.org now provides users three different ways to utilize our site. Our Primary Browser Arrangement includes an index on the left hand side of the screen with material information displayed at the right. If you reached this page, you have discovered our Secondary Browser Arrangement. The index is displayed in a PopUp window, so that the entire browser window is available to display material information. By simply minimizing the IAS Index, users with lower resolution displays can now view more information on their desktop without the need to scroll their browser from side to side. Finally, for users who preferred IASlinks.org's original layout, we have also made a Classic Browser Arrangement available. This layout includes the index in the bottom third of the browser window. These three layouts are further described below. If you have trouble with any of the new layouts or with navigating IASlinks.org, please contact Ryan Smith.

PRIMARY BROWSER ARRANGEMENT
The IASlinks.org Primary Browser Arrangement includes an index in the left-hand frame of the browser window. Information is displayed in the right-hand frame. Both frames can be scrolled if needed. Clicking on an item in the index will call that particular web page to the viewer on the right. By clicking the word: DETACH, located at the top of the index, you can cause the index to do just that - sending you to our Secondary Browser Arrangement.

SECONDARY BROWSER ARRANGEMENT
The IASlinks.org Secondary Browser Arrangement provides the index in a popup window. With this functionality, users can take advantage of the entire width of their browser when viewing large images, such as drifter tacks. Clicking on an item in the index will call that particular web page to the main browser window. Depending on display resolution and desktop size, the popup window may seem to disappear once the main browser has been selected with the mouse. In reality the index is behind the browser and can be brought to the foreground with a mouse click. Users can return to the Primary Browser Arrangement by clicking the word: ATTACH, located at the bottom of the index popup window.

CLASSIC BROWSER ARRANGEMENT
The IASlinks.org Classic Browser Arrangement is provided for those users who prefer the original look and feel of the Oceanography of the Intra-Americas Sea web site. This classic look provides a browser window divided with two frames. The index is displayed in the lower of the two frames; information will appear in the upper frame above the index when a topic is selected.

To select this arrangement, return to the IASlinks.org Welcome Page by clicking on the word: ATTACH located at the bottom of the popup window index (whos detachment brought you to this page). Once you have returned to the IASlinks.org Welcome Page, scroll down until you see CLASSIC BROWSER ARRANGEMENT and click on it.
